You really liked the American version better? Man, I loved Being Human UK and found Being Human US to not be anywhere as good character wise. Aidan and Josh lack the chemistry that Mitchell and George have, and in general the characters just seemed to drift in and out of the kitchen to bitch about their separate lives without any of the real sense of comradery or fun that all the UK folks have. Maybe that's just me.
Oh, I suspect that the UK original would drag me in as I agree with you, the characters definitley seem more involved in their roommates lives and seem to actually like eachother. BUT the language and slight OTT is too offputting... so I may (MAY) not watch any more. Probably. Maybe. *bites nails*
Being Human UK has its flaws. Mainly in that its strengths are in being a dramatic comedy about some odd flatmates, who all have conditions that are stand-ins for other things (agoraphobia, HIV, addiction...)
And thinking of brooding vampires (and other things) you must see this clip (don't worry, it's not spoilery)
I can so relate to the 21 Jump Street offendedness regarding the Imdb trailer. I loved that show and had a crush on Johnny Depp way back when it aired. The new film is attroceous - especially so because they could do something decent with the basic plot idea. How much violent crime is going on in innercity schools today in the big cities in the US? Drugs, gangs, guns.. enough to sell the idea of someone going undercover who is young looking but actually intelligent and good at what he does as being something the police might actually do for real. But no, we get Police Academy in Highschool minus the awesomeness. *sigh*
*flails* Agreement! I concur!! A remake could have been wonderful, with some real impact and story behind it. Sure the Tv-series had its light moments but really... it dealt with real issues. Gah... who on earth would believe that Tatum Channing could still be in highschool? *face palm*
Not a vamp fan huh? understandable. I'd love a vamp series with a little mor humour and less taking it all so seriously. I thought Being Human was going to be like that... which it was in part, but not enough :)
Yep, not a fan and I'm pretty mad what Twilight did to the fantasy genre - so many books in which a vampire/werewolf/other non human male falls madly in love with the young, innocent, beautiful human girl (or the other way round). There are only two very little book shelves with Sci-Fi and Fantasy in "my" book shop and now half of them are taken over with these kind of books... *sighs* *stops ranting*

I loved that show. Loved it beyond measure and now. Now I want to go looking with some loaded weaponry for screenwriters and a director.

See, I don't like Vampires. I loved Buffy & their Vampires, I like Mick St.John & Co and if it is well done in fanfic - but other than that? *snort*
