I love these :D

You are so right about the burdens of leadership -- the rest of the team just doesn't get it. They don't understand the responsibility of having to always be the one to make the terrible choices. And if the speculation is true, and Jack has been the leader of a Torchwood group for a long, long time, those terrible choices and that responsibility has been weighing on him for just as long. That has to do things to your psyche. I think that by this point, he's struggling against burning out. *hugs him*

I'm wondering if Ianto's response about how he's not supposed to be there was just that he wasn't supposed to be awake and working, he was supposed to be (trying to) sleep?

Hey, it wasn't just one little girl he had to give up, it was one FREAKY little girl. Really, I don't know why anyone is upset she's gone.

Also, with the photo and him looking younger in it thing, I really wouldn't rely on that too much. I don't know how it was in the mid-40s, but I know that in the mid-50s and after they'd touch up those pictures, smooth them out and stuff. I have pictures of my father looking way better than he actually did, and I'm pretty sure they did the same thing further back, because of some of the pics of my grandfather. (My mother, damn her, really did look like a porcelain doll for much of her life) So, anyway, what I'm saying is that it might not be direct-from-film-to-paper-to-frame.

Anyway, some good choice in pics ^.^ Poor Jack.

I felt so sorry for Jack. If you ask me the little girl was too far gone to "save" anyway, and she was creepy from the very beginning! :P It's just a shame that the others can't see that.

Although I suppose I can understand that perhaps they didn't see it that way, that all they saw was a child being snatched away from her mother. Especially in Owen and Tosh's case -- they didn't really have any contact with the girl at all, at least Gwen got to hear the conversation between Jack, Jasmine and the fairies.

Btw, I really love reading your reviews. :) Do you mind if I friend you?

I agree with you there, I think Owen and Tosh might have been a little more understanding if they had heard that conversation.

I'm glad you enjoy these! Feel free to friend! :D

Nice analysis. I think here we see that Jack really is a hero, and that he really does have a warm, good heart which has known a lot of pain.

I really admire you for making these picspam analysis, they're so profound. I couldn't do it, I'd be too distracted by the prettiness of all the blokes and gals and the most profound comment I could come up with would be "SQUEEE!".

(ZOMG! The fifth pic is HOTTT! So is the first one, obviously, I actually exclaimed "WOW!" when I first saw the ep.)

Glad you like!
I have to watch the eps a few times before writing these, because otherwise it would all be OMG Jack is so hot! :P
