I really loved this story, and even though i haven't read Almost Perfect,(where my original reaction was--OMG they made Ianto a woman!) I actually enjoyed this story and loved how realistic and the issues it discused. (Oh and I especially love how you included Tosh and Owen-Hooray he didn't die)

Just wow Rhi! I think you did a great job of putting into words the confusion and awkwardness Ianto felt due to his transition and how the rest of the team responded.
And all that from your backup story!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm also really glad the awkwardness came through. I think that is the thing tht bothers me the most about this type of fic: the lack of awkwardness and complete acceptance immediately or almost immediately. and yes, for the back up story, this came out pretty well. I'll have to re-work the original one at some point, when I'm feeling less likely to strangle it.

There were two things I knew I was going to do in this fic: (1) Ianto would have to deal with being turned into a woman - fully - and not just accept what happened to him straight off and (2) that I was going to end it on an ambiguous note, with Ianto having the option of being turned back and leave it up to the reader to decide what happens next. Yes, that might be slightly evil. Essentially, Ianto has been a woman for over a year by this point. He's had time to grow used to his new circumstances - had in fact come to grips that it was likely permanent. Now the Doctor is here and suddenly, he has a choice, but he's also just been put on the spot. Given everything that has happened to him, I don't think he'll just decide right away. It's something he's going to think about. So yes, it is totally up to you to decide what he'll chose to do.
I'm really glad you liked the relationships. I worked hard to make them realistic. Glad you enjoyed this so
