OMG that was one of the most amazing TW videos I've seen! Fantastic. Can't wait to read the fic now. Beautiful quality (and I was only able to watch the YouTube version). I love that song. Not familiar with that version, I've always loved the Elvis Costello version. Really lovely job with the blue theme and the effects. I sort of got a kick out of Jack pouring champagne for, oh who is it, just out of the frame? hee-hee (I just made my first video and used that same scene, so it was funny to see it that way with Rose cut out.)
Thanks. I was disappointed in how it looks on YouTube though. Maybe better I'll do better next time. Anyway, where can I find more of your videos to look at?
Wow. This is gorgeous! I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't watched many vids, so I'm not in much of a position to comment on the specifics (give me a few dozen re-watches and I'll come back with a better comment) but the way you've told the story is brilliant.
I love the way you've distinguished between the 'now' and the memories - keeping the shades of blue is inspired. And the song really fits the story! I'd never heard it before but it really does suit Ianto's thoughts on his Jack and the other Jack.
Will comment more when I've figured out the terminology I'm supposed to use to describe the scenes. :-)
Thank you for such a great vid, it's absolutely wonderful!
Thank you for your story:) I'll be pottering off to read the full fledged version when I'm not already late for work :)
I also apologise for the mad ramblings in my notes, but it was the first time I'd considered doing any- it turned into a bit of an analysis of my working processes.
I liked your notes! The technical parts went right over my head, but I found the process of finding a song and deciding on point of view really interesting. I'd never really 'got' the concept of videos before (I think it's got something to do with my utter lack of talent for art in general *g*) but your notes explained a lot of things to me.
I love this vid - I think I'd have loved it even if I hadn't read the story it's with. But the song is so appropriate and the images fit to the words. I love the way you've done the colours in it and picked out really appropriate scenes of both Jacks and Ianto.

And that song was so seriously a happy accident :)
