That was absolutely brilliant. I adore the Doctor's and Jack's conversation (of course the Doctor would try the easy route first, and bravo for Jack stopping him). Overall, a *wonderful* story. Thank you so much for sharing!

Thank you for all your comments! Yeah, Ten can be a coward about emotional issues, but Jack is at a point where he can call him out.

I just love these two together, and the way they understand each other and can forgive each other. Both such tragic heroes. I love this series and I'm sorry to see it end. It was wonderful, thank you.

Thank you so much! Forgiveness and understanding were some of the main themes I wanted to put into this, so I'm glad they stood out to you.

Lovely! I like how the Doctor starts out by doing something incredibly stupid and inept--did he really think Jack's hormones would overrule his brain to such an extent he wouldn't realize something was up (so to speak)?--and Jack had to get him to level with him. Yeah, they need each other, and badly. The Doctor's admission that he messed with time and cost lives even after Bowie Base was chilling, but I can believe it. He and Jack can keep each other from despair.

Thank you!

Yep! To be fair, he thought it was the most beneficial thing for Jack also. Ten always did have a tendency to decide what's best for others without consulting them.

Jack and the Doctor will do each other a world of good, but they're definitely starting from the bottom. Thanks again for all your comments.

This is brilliant. Sad and hopeful and wonderful. I love Jack and the Doctor's interaction (both Nine and Ten). Perfect amount of angst and hopefulness. :) Well done!
