I was looking on Fanpop for Charmed screencaps and this stupid bitch stole almost ALL of my Piper Halliwell (and probably more) icons and uploaded them to Fanpop, despite the fact that I've listed in my crediting rules to NOT use my graphics there. I even created two accounts to tell this user off, then in every icon I created said, "THIS IS MY

Yeah, I remember you telling me about that once. I cannot understand how people can do this and feel it's okay, and THEN assume we won't find the links eventually. I mean, we're FANS of the fandoms! Of course we're going to go searching for fandom related stuff and notice our work or other artists' work has been stolen!

I did notice they took my icons down, though two of them are still up. But that doesn't excuse what these two users did. It really does put you off making graphics or writing fics because you don't want the thievery to continue.

I swear, I want to put a license on all my graphics - that way I can sue the people taking them!

I've had trouble like this in the past. It drives me nuts. I've had people take my artwork and use it in music videos (why?!) without credit or asking. Use it as backgrounds for their youtube channels when I've repeatedly asked them not to any of my artwork in anything. And I've seen my stuff in fanpop with no credit listed.

I find it very upsetting and very madding. I'm sorry you are having to go through with it. Just go to the website and skip the asshole person if they don't make reasonable reply the first time. Screw them.

UGH! I hope I don't see anything I've done in a YT video or something. I mean how do they not realize they'll get caught?! Eventually, something's gonna fall, and they'll get their heads bitten off.

I went to Fanpop, wrote on the person's "wall", sent them a half message because Fanpop suspended my account and logged me out automatically. Whatever - I've sent them around 5-6 e-mail in under an hour.

A friend told me my stuff was bring used. I didn't find it myself. I don't understand it either. The excuse one person gave me was "I didn't know who made it so I just used it" *rolleyes*. I can see why some artists put there names on all large artwork. If someone really wants to steal your art they can still do it but it makes it harder.

That's horrible of Fanpop to do to you. I hope it works for you.
