This is amazing! I love it! I love it like pie! I love it so much the exclamation point got stuck there.

This is made out of sheer win and wonderfulness. I'm gonna go read it again.

Thanks so much, hon - I'm so happy you liked it! I'd wanted to finish my Hex backstory fic for you, but couldn't get it done, so I figured I'd do a Mel fic - such a hardship, heh. Thanks for the kind words, here and on your journal (which I obviously couldn't comment on at the time!) :D

This was utterly fantastic and I loved it to bits, as you saw. No worries about the lack of Hex-background fic. This makes me very happy.

This is a really fun story - I love the bit about how Mel met the Doctor and how it wasn't linear and her and Tegan having fun together.

hooray! this is a fic of great joy and eye-patches (and space pirates). and perfectly voiced characters too, and mel - i do love mel. bizarrely, quite a bit.

this line is my favourite: "I'm afraid I don't know who you are," Melanie said (Mel, to her friends, of which she apparently had one more than she'd known).

but mainly i love it all.

The theme of non-linearity is interwoven throughout the story in a really effective way, and the resultant ending's sweet and clever as could be. Your prose style is winning and light. I kind of inferred some Mel/Tegan here, but perhaps that's just me. Great job!

Thanks so much for the very nice, kind comments, I really appreciate the thoughtfulness in them! As to the Mel/Tegan, I am a hopeless femslasher, so it's certainly possible that bled through (in my mind, later, it becomes text!)

I really love this. Mel and Tegan, non-linear stuff and fairytales and space pirates, wonderful. My favourite line, I think, is:
"You're a natural," Mel calls out, as Tegan swashes and buckles across the living room, knocking over a vase as she goes. - I can just picture it, and it's a fantastic image.
