This is quite lovely, really; I enjoy seeing Adam dealt with in post-Long Game fic, and I like that while you showed his sympathetic side, he's still a bit of a bastard, which is accurate! I'm a Torchwood skeptic, myself, but I really like Adam's hope (I hope with him!), and the last line was perfect.

I feel so sorry for Adam in this, in a way you really don't in the series. I love that he puts a Wikipedia page up to convince his mum and that he manages to get hold of Ianto. I'm sure Torchwood would be the best place for him.

I utterly love it, I have a (probably unhealthy) soft spot for Adam and this is just perfect, because he is a bit of an idiot and a bit of a prat and far too up himself and sympathetic and just how I like him. Hee. Wikipedia. :D

Also, unexpected Ianto is always made of win and I love the idea of Adam ending up at Torchwood - because, yes, he'd be wasted most anywhere else.

I think this is my favourite line:

"Reckon you might just be proud of me someday," he says to the sky, thinking of a little blue box and all those worlds packed inside.

Might have said love far too much in this comment but that is because I adore this. :D

late, but just read this and it's really pretty great. and very sad, actually - that last end note. i never really liked adam, but i think the idea that he wanted the doctor's approval as much as anyone and failed to get it is a really interesting one. particularly given who he's going to see and work for.

i like that he hacked ianto's phone as well, and we would make a very good tosh replacement - though clearly they've been doing all right for some time. still, very interesting, very good fic. glad i read it.
