Title: First love Rating: K+ 'Verse: G1 (pre-history) Characters: Prowl/Jazz Prompt: "A Jazz/Prowl romance story with some angst and drama but happy ending"
*snickers* Oh sweet revenge. Were you not too long ago encouraging MY plot bunny? Well I LOVED the story. The concept was totally different and I felt sorry for Jazz. Though I cannot deny that I felt rather satisfied when the first more or less rebellious thoughts entered their minds. Maybe not rebellios, but it is obvious that already they are more loyal to each other than to the Quintesson masters. I can just see them sooner or later defecting and joining the rebellions on Cybertron. It will still take some time, but I am sure a lot of bonding and sharing will help along. Stupid, eager Quintessons just dug their own grave, I dare say. XD
( ... )
I'm very glad you liked it. The bunnies round here are somewhat rabid of late and their ideas are kind of... different... at the best of times, and they *insisted* it had to be a Quintesson story.
These two have definitely made a connection which has already eroded their loyalty programming to the Quintessons, and it will only strengthen over time. I imagine they will end up back on Cybertron, and part of the rebellion that Prowl was so dismissive of at the beginning.
Oh, go ahead and carry it on if you want to. Honestly, I can't see when I'll have time and although I'm being smothered in bunnies Soal!Meister's holding them off for the moment. A fair while to wait until my next birthday, but if inspiration strikes, feel free :)
You're welcome, very welcome, and I'm just glad you liked it. I hope you had a fun birthday ^_^
Soal!Meister is a very strong deterrent for ANYTHING coming at you, methinks! Haha, I can just see him doing a spin-kick and sending a wave of bunnies flying through the stratosphere...shortly afterward, the survivors cringe against the ground as he draws a pair of blades...
Such an interesting take on the origin of bonding.
“What is this feeling?
I know no word for it in our language, but I think it's what my former masters called love. And it is forbidden to those who serve to even speak of it.
Then we will create a word for it, one that is not forbidden.”
I really like that exchange. And I like the world-building of Quintession society, and how well the Quints manage to tie the Cybertonians so thoroughly to them. Of course now we see the Quints creating a process to destroy the loyalty they so carefully crafted. The ending is magnificent with the implications of what will happen in Prowl, Jazz, and their world’s futures.
It just seemed like the perfect exchange when I was mulling over how to do this, so I'm glad it was enjoyed.
This fits one of two Cybertron pre-history pet theories I have; that the Quintessons created the Cybertronians but things got out of control, the TFs rebelled and freed themselves, and the Quints have always resented it. This isn't quite the start of that rebellion, but it will have a major impact on it, that's for sure. :)

One up side - the bunnies keep him from having time to get upset about what I've done/am doing to Prowl in SoaL...
