Disclaimer: I don't own Transformers, I just write about them :)

Title: Indigo
Universe: G1
Rating: K+

A/N: First attempt for the May ProwlxJazz LJ community challenge "On the outside looking in". I'll probably do at least one more, but this was the first bunny that bit :) See if you can guess who's talking before you get to the end.

*offers cold compress for sore head?*

It's a sad piece, yes, but it definitely has hope. There are just so many TF 'verses where one of them dies leaving the other behind, so I like the idea that somewhere, sometime, it'll be okay. :)

Nicely done, I especially like how the reincarnation myth fits in all this. :3

*double-take* reincarnation's a myth? Not to the TF reality, particularly G1! *lol*

Glad you liked it :)

*box of tissues right here* Thanks. ^_^ It basically wrote itself on the commute to work over two mornings, so I guess it just needed to be written - I love bunnies like that :D

And he'll have to do it again for sure... stupid people like to kill Prowl off >< *sniffs*

He'll give them as many chances as they need (which, knowing the canon writers, might be quite a few times!) but they'll get there. They'll be okay.

I cried, or rather am crying. That was beautiful. The "Please" section is heart-wrenching, making me actually cry a bit harder re-reading it as I type ( ... )

*offers tissues* If it helps, the "please" segment had me a bit teary while I was writing it.

Yes, one of them dies in every canon 'verse, but there are only so many canon 'verses and so many more dimensions. Eventually they'll land in a "safe" one where there's no war, or they both survive it, and can live happily ever after :) And at least they don't have to go through the pain of remembering losing each other before.

I'm sure I couldn't pull it off in a longer fic, but I was quite taken with the idea of them both being utterly oblivious, and this fic needed some cuteness to lighten the atmosphere.

Thanks for reading ^_^
