Oh my. What a lovely feel this story has. It just makes you ache and feel for both of them. It manages to feel exactly like a dream with the harsh 'real' edges coming through at the same time. Very, very good. And so moving. I think you need to recommend that people makes themselves a cup of tea after reading. ;-)

I wrote fluffy sexy skinny dipping fic once I heard back from the last beta, because I so needed it, after working on this for a week. It hurt to write, but "The Menagerie" just will always be a tragedy, to me. There's no sugar-coating it.

Wow, I enjoyed the setting you chose (actually, I was surprised how believable it was). This was so bittersweet and melancholic. The last line is just the perfect summary. *dabs at eyes*

Thanks so much! It was a bit maddening, trying to fgure out how everything worked, insde my head, and coming up with in-story reasons for it to have been Spock that the Talosians called, and what that would mean for Number One. And I wanetd so much for some kind of colsure, even if the choice at the end just gutted me.
