(any chance you might take this... sense of things... into the Master/Doctor show as well?)

I'm not quite secure enough in my knowledge of the Master to attempt that just yet. Maybe once I've rewatched all the Pertwee and Davison eps. But I am a complete junkie for the Academy!fic that's out there, so who knows?

Wow. I'd never drawn the parallel there, but OMG YES. So very very Marnie in the scale of the fuckedupedness of the rightness of the Saxons.
I just am fascinated by them, I really am. And maybe it's how we're meant to infer so much of theri relationship from the scenes, becasue so little is stated outright, that havign such a fertile playground is making me so giddy... But just the parallels between the Sixth Master and the Ninth Doctor are just fuelling my imagination right now. It's like the Master is the Doctor's ID, and I do think they are both damaged in similar ways, but what sets them apart is how differently they deal with the new post-Gallifrey-Go-BOOM universe.

I'm haveing too much playing with the Saxons at the moment - good villains are often hard to come by, and someone as unbalanced as Lucy is always a good source of material :)
