I wouldn't make any decisions yet, I think you should stick it out longer. You may get attached to the kids and feel sad leaving them, but I don't think that avoiding sadness is the reason to leave!

I do have to say though, that I'm not a real pusher of toilet training. I think that parents who rush it end up with kids that take way longer to train, and sometimes it leads to really serious problems. With kids who were ready, toilet training usually only takes a weekend. Boys are not usually fully trained till close to three, and some girls train closer to two, but two and a half is more normal. You could maybe ask that if she mentions she need to use the bathroom, you'd like to let her try, but I am totally okay with parents taking their time.. as long as we don't have a 4 year old in diapers because the parents are lazy ;) She's almost 2.5, so probably getting closer to the age where she'll really want to do it.

Your sister and I were talking about that. About how if you stay for any length of time, that it's pretty much a given that leaving will be rediculously hard. I know if I were an au pair I would have a pretty hard time leavin the children I was watching. Because I'm a sap... I think you are too ;) I cant relate, because I've never been in that position, but I can understand how hard it would be. You dont wanna leave, but knowing how difficult it will be when you do leave, makes you think that maybe leaving a head of time is the better alternative. :( I bet it's really hard hun. Like you've heard from about a million people by now im sure, but you are really lucky. You have a awesome family, fantastic kids to take care of, and you're seeing the world. but I would try and wait it out a little longer, if you feel the same way a couple of weeks from now.. then take a step back and assess things then ( ... )
