The holidays...

What a weird time of year. Just when you think people will be more gracious and joyous, you realize that people are more frantic and maniacal than any other time of year. Assholes will not yield to let you pull in front of them because they are not thinking about what a wonderful time of year it is. All they can think of is how long they've been ( Read more... )

The mall is evil. Buy online it will save your sanity. It's worth the fucking shipping imo. We went to the mall yesterday and while it wasn't that bad, I hate all the stores.

The only bad thing about an artificial tree is that you have to store it after.

I agree about the mall stores. In fact, Ryan and I didn't even go into the mall. We were at the stores around the mall. So you get sucked into the shitty traffic anyway!

I think I might need to boycott malls. Don't you think it's weird that all the malls are the same? They all have the same stores in them. All selling the same crap. They dictate what you can buy and wear, smell, eat...etc...

I can't believe how expensive a fake tree is (to get a good one). What would you do about the pine needles falling off of real ones? And do cats like real ones over fake ones? Our cats and finding their way up to the top of the cupboards and up on my shrine and ontop of bookcases and eating my aloe vera plant. I'm worried that they will climb to the top of the christmas tree and eat the branches off!!!

Yep I agree. There are so many cool people making things now, that the only reason I go to the mall is A. for Lane Bryant since that's the only place that sells circus tents and B. um...well I don't know I guess just A!

I can't believe how expensive a fake tree is (to get a good one). They can be. Check the papers for sales. Kmart carries the Martha Stewart trees. There's a white one I really like. Also you can get a live tree this year and buy a fake one on the after x-mas sales if you are really motivated ( ... )

Tell me how the tree thing ended up so I can live vicariously through you.
We went to a very late lunch and then to Trader Joes. Now we're supposed to clean. Ewwwwww.

Yeah, the white was too short and I wasn't sure if it would go with all of my folk art ornaments you know? If I was to do a white tree, I'd have to get the tinsel garland and glass balls to do it right! haha. I'm just too into the country folk look I think.

It seems like fake is the way to go. Saves trees and well, they are just easier to deal with aren't they? Ryan and I saw a fake white one at Kmart last night, but alas...we went with an Aspen (see post above).

My mom almost actually got a fake tree this year, she stopped because she was like "Your sister will kill me."
