Agreed. It's nuts that by modelling standards, my 130-pound (BMI just over 25), size 8 body that my boyfriend loves is plus-size. I would guess that given that most models are a good 10"-12" taller than me (I'm 5'0"), my BMI is above even that of most plus-size models now. I'd like to drop some weight, but I wear a seriously brag-worthy bra size and basically look good. The idea that I'm bigger than plus-size is ridiculous.

That being said, this article is a secondary source citing what is probably another secondary source, so I think I'd better take the stats with a small grain of salt.

I did find evidence that there are some plus size models who are size 6 but it's less common than 10-14, the mid-range. I don't know who might be collecting those stats although perhaps Plus Model Magazine is collecting its own stats as a trade magazine.
