You know, if my prescription list were blasted over the media I'd look like quite the druggie too, but I rarely use the intoxicating meds and only when absolutely necessary. I hate the effect. I keep telling people - and it was listed in the announcements about her death and is readily available information - heart attack is the leading causes of death of women her age. Nobody believes me. They just look at me funny or make some crass remark or go silent.

And she had an admitted heart ailment and had been ill. Anyway, I agree with you whole heartedly Tapati - its a way people make themselve feel safe.

I think I agree with you; the "it's not gonna happen to me" thinking.
And I also think another part of it is the trend to sensationalism - the 'need' to dig up the dirt on celebs and focus on that so we can distract ourselves from our own lives.
