I had two smaller than that. Gen was 5#6 and Raenie was 6#1. Raenie was a month early. Gen came within two days of when I said she would.

Thomas was 9#2, Tayler 8#9 - babies come big in my family. Except my niece Sanura. She came at 30 weeks and lay in my hand. She scared me to death! ;)

My family ranges from tiny little Gen to my sister, who was 10#9, both born right on time! My own girls went 7#14, 5#6, 7#10, 6#1, so average, small, average, small.

That thought occurred to me. One of the first things my daughter said about her new baby, not even remembering it was Mom's birthday, was that she looked "like Grandma." So...hmmm. I suggested the idea to her and she was a little startled (since Mom had so many psychological problems). I said, "Her only real problem was how she was raised. She just needed to know that she was loved. With good parents she'd be just fine.

So we're reserving judgment about what spirit has taken birth. :)
