I've fallen in love with my Miata. I didn't think that any car could capture my heart after Jezebel's many years of faithful service, but this zippy little turquoise Miata has done so in record time. She pretty much named herself Shakti right away. I don't usually go for Sanskrit names but that's just the most appropriate name for her

This is so funny. I just watched a documentary are cars the other night and the Miata came up. It's been designated a "women's car" because of it's specs and for the simple reason that women literally fall in love with it. There were guests on talking about their cars and of course some men eye rolling (Chad McQueen). And now I happen across this post. Kind of makes me want to take one for a test drive. :)

Oh yes, drive one--especially around some curves. Miatas are perfectly weighted and have rear wheel drive, and they take curves with such ease you'll never mind driving around them again. :)

At the Miata event I went to there were plenty of men who had Miatas too, and they've redesigned the newest version to appeal to them even more. Some men got hooked when their wives got one. (I think my husband is falling in love with mine too.)

It is very woman-friendly, though, and I think its curves suit ours to a T.
