IMO, that still doesn't excuse Bush from what he said about witchcraft years ago.

I AM nasty and bitter. I don't think he has a sense of shame at all.
I think enough large pagan groups like Selena Fox & Co. badgered, bitched, and attracted media attention and he HAD to apologize or look like the ass he usually is. I think some staffer was doing "business as usual" and pruning the meeting lists for folks who would at least possibly not disturb George's peaceful mind with unhappy questions and deleted Ms. Stewart. They had NO idea that pagans are getting mouthy....and dare I say, powerful enough, to make a wave of public response!
