It's not unusual at Milliways-- quite the opposite, in fact-- to find familiar doorways taking you somewhere you didn't expect to go. It's not unusual to find a staircase moving while you climb it, or sometimes spiraling but other times straight. It's not unusual to pass through strange curlicues of hallway just to get to the library.
