It never ceases to amaze me how much more stupid shit they can put on tv. Taradise on E! follows Tara Reid as she parties across the world
( Read more... )
...And yet, you remembered the name 'Taradise', you remembered Tara Reid's name, and you remembered that E! channel has a little exlimation mark on it's name. I'd say the TV people would be pretty happy with their work on that one.
I watch the E! channel occasionally, so it's not hard to remember their channel name. And I watched that show for about 2 minutes once, so also not hard to remember it's title, as well as its star. Plus if you catch a glimpse of the covers of any rag at the supermarket check-out, or any show that deals with Hollywood info, she'll be mentioned at some point.
Even with a bad memory I wouldn't have had any problems remembering it, and I don't have a bad memory.
And TV people would be much happier if I actually watched it, which I don't. Me not watching means ad revenue they're not receiving. Just because I know of the existence of a show doesn't mean it works in their favour.
Indeed. Except the damage has already been done. It's like smashing somebody over the head with a baseball bat and then apologizing because it was a bad idea. :P
Shows like these are why I have given up on TV as a main source of entertainment. Every time I turn it on I feel like i'm being bombarded with useless information about people I dislike.
It's like going to a bar and hearing some drunk asshole's life story, only they also try to sell you crap every 7 minutes or so.
I watch more tv than I used to mainly because of Dashiell, it's hard to do much of anything else while breastfeeding. And he's too squirmy sometimes for me to be able to read while he eats.
Often I'll just pop in a dvd, which helps me avoid the horror that is daytime tv.
There are a few primetime shows that I like, but a lot of tv is just crud.
Very sad. I can't imagine why someone would desperately try to cling to the image of a dumb cheap slut. Depending on which parts of that are actually just image and not reality...
