WARNING: Fopp can be hazardous to your wallet

Fopp, as I was saying in a comment on progmeister’s LJ, is a wonderful shop. It reminds me of the record shops I used to frequent when I was at school and the University. What is even better, it has absolute shitloads of CDs at prices like £5, and DVDs at £8-10. I have noticed this too with Fopp, the particular branch I visit is especially memorable since it is in the same shop that used to be occupied by Bill Lewingtons (where I bought my saxophone reeds).

Why is it that they can manage a so much more *interesting* range of cheap/sale DVDs than the other chains?

Well, as that was the item I went in there to seek out... ;o)

The self-control was in not thinking, Oh, who needs food, I will just take these ten... or maybe twenty other CDs as well!
