Under the mask

The BNP are doing their best to appear like decent, ordinary white folk people like you and me, and as a contrast to the smooth machine politicians of other parties. In fact, they are vile fascists and no different from the vile fascists we have seen before. This article from the Manchester Evening News looks under their propaganda to show the real ( Read more... )

I don't normally go out to vote *against* a party -- but this time I am doing so. Both my grandfathers fought in the war against the Nazis, and I do not intend to shirk my much lighter duty to vote against the modern Moseley-wannabe.

What I am more concerned about is people not voting and a lot vote letting them slip through. Enough people are disillusioned with politics that that could happen, and of course Euro-elections don't generate the same interest as general elections.

I wish I lived there so I could vote. :)

It's not just non-whites who need to worry. There's another point which was drawn to my attention yesterday, in an article in The Observer.

'Jeffrey Marshall, senior organiser for the BNP's London European election campaign:
Following the death of David Cameron's disabled son Ivan, Marshall claimed in an internet forum discussion: "We live in a country today which is unhealthily dominated by an excess of sentimentality towards the weak and unproductive. No good will come of it."

Later, in response to comments made by others on the site, Marshall is alleged to have written: "There is not a great deal of point in keeping these people alive after all." He said the comments were private and some had been paraphrased and taken out of context. He admitted making the former comment, but said he could not recall making the latter one in an email to the forum, a copy of which is in the Observer's possession.'

Like I said: fascists no different from earlier models. Not neo-Nazis, just Nazis. Thanks for that link.

Ah. I rather thought that Cameron's recent comments re: the BNP had the ring of genuine revulsion, but I hadn't made that connection.
