Sunny Wednesday: Bigfoot sighted!

May 02, 2007 18:31

Feeling pretty rough after the gut pain in the night, I dragged myself out for some hot chocolate (and, in the event, a bowl of soup too). That helped me feel a bit more human, as did the sun. It was downright hot today, and it is only May. I wonder if this is going to be a summer hotter than 1976 ( Read more... )

I'm vicariously excited ;-)

I am hoping to attend the appeal in December - and video blog from outside the court (or my office - whichever is safer) so I may sneak some surreptitious bigfoot images on arrival and departure then. Until then, keep 'em peeled ;-)

When I worked in Glasgow I used to see him getting the train through to Edinburgh as I arrived and occasionally I see him on my train to Edinburgh now I am based there. He is much shorter than I imagined, but most Scottish politicians are: these are no doubt the political pygmies Gorgeous George told us occupied Holyrood.

Not just Scottish politicians. I nearly fell over Shirley Williams in Byres Road the Saturday before the Hillhead by-election (when Woy was elected). Recovering from that, I nearly fell over David Steel who was the same height as far as I could see (i.e. minuscule). (Not just politicians, either; I think I scared Matthew Parris once by disagreeing forcefully with him, I hadn't factored in that I am feckin' enormous and he is a weedy wee thing.)

I do like it that Gorgeous George heads Respect, because he is one politcian I have absolutely no respect for, whatever. Even if he did make the Senate look like a bunch of numpties.

You do realise that Talk Talk recorded five very fine albums to go with that one very fine track? ;)

I know, but that is such a good track. Why go for the sevruga when you have some exquisite beluga?

...and yet the beluga should be enjoyed in the context of a fine, many coursed meal.

BTW the food will not be bland! It will be linguine with a tasty tomato sauce and veggie meatballs.
