I supposed to be writing about paper about women's etiquette from India and Victorian England, but I'll write here first. Last night was very nice. I came home from work at 3, and we celebrated Paul's birthday...all was fine and well. Then I started to make a Christmas list of all the other people I need to buy presents for, or make a cookie

Although I understand Paul... I also know his weak approach to family. It frightens me that you will adopt it. You told me many times that when there is love present one never just lets go of the situation: in the end- no matter how horrible they are- how many times they can take advantage of you- how much they can ignore you- They are in fact your family... and you love them- and in a way you are doing the right thing in always being present for them regardless of what they do. As corny as it sounds you are being the better person in the situation... I guess it is living for the collective as oppossed to for oneselves. I understand how sad and how frustrating it is though... All my love.
