Sometimes the kitties are driving me crazy... Shuray has become too fat, and Trisca is still very slim. Just feed Shuri less (or diet food) and Trisca more? Ha, if it was that easy

My sister has two very different cats with pretty much the same problem. Turned out a couple of years ago, that the skinny cat has a hormone problem. Actually both do. So the trick is now, that she has to get the skinny cat to eat her hormone pills. The fat one is still fat, and the skinny one still skinny, but it's stable now, at least. I wish you luck :)
I know that problem. Imagine having this with 5 cats. One is too fat and eats everything, three of them are normal weight and the last one could use more weight.
You are doing it properly. I have Ninka my 17 year old who has to eat a diet that is LOW in protein, which is NOT good for my other cat Fweep who is 10. So I had to feed them separately and sit down in between them as they ate to ensure each got their own amount, otherwise Fweep would steal Ninka's food.
In the end, I'm not sure if there is anything wrong with a skinny and a fat cat. I have had skinny cats (Gazoo and Fweep) and I have had fat cats (Havoc and Mittens) All of them were in good health for a long time, the thing with fat cats are is they are MORE prone to things like diabetes and other illnesses.
Fweep is full grown and only weighs 3.2 Kilos. That is VERY light and small for a full grown cat but she is purrrrfectly healthy.
I hope they enjoyed ( and probably finished now) the treats I sent them for Christmas :).
If it were not for the pictures which you post, showing both cats cuddled together and sleeping in a basket, atop the cat-tree, etc., I would say that one has "bullied" the other - or at least is so dominant, that the submissive cat just surrenders the right to eat. The fact that they play together, sleep together, and generally get on so well in all other respects, makes that unlikely
