Title: Couples? Couples!
Pairings: Eunhae, Kangteuk, Hanchul, Kyumin, Yewook
Ratings: G
Summary: Donghae cannot stand the lovey-dovey couples that are doing all those mushy stuff in his dorm, and decides to seek refuge in his own room. Only to be bothered by someone.

Dedicated to aidenrose.

Donghae groaned inwardly, as he slammed the door to his room. He sat down on the bed, pouting slightly as he glared at the magazine in his lap. There wasn't a single place where he could read something in peace in this dormitory! For the past few minutes, he had been switching places, from the kitchen, to the living room, to the balcony, and even to the toilet, just trying to obtain some quiet.

"Couples…." He grumbled to himself, closing the book and stuffing his earphones into his ears to block out all that creepy whisperings he had just heard earlier. He swore he still felt the goosebumps, as he raised his arms for a close inspection. Yup, definitely still there. Rubbing his arms and giving a mock shiver, he slid underneath his blankets, trying to clear his mind, empty his mind of whatever that had just happened in front of him.

Turning onto his side, he sighed, knowing that it was futile trying to will himself into sleep. Staring at the white wall in front of him, the wall that Eeteuk had insisted that it must be white or else he will suffer from insomnia, he raised his palm tentatively, pressing his fingers into the wall, wondering how it would be like for him, if he had someone too.

"Gah!" Donghae curled up, trying to get rid of that thought in his mind. Shaking his head furiously, he silently beat himself up for even conjuring up that thought. "I will never ever be as mushy and lovey-dovey as those couples out there! Even thinking about it gives me the shivers." He muttered quietly underneath his breath, and pulled his blanket close to him.

He felt a slight depression as someone sat on his bed, shifting a little to make himself comfortable. Donghae sighed, and turned around, glaring at the intruder. Although it was Eunhyuk, his very best friend, he still couldn't help glaring, unable to remove the annoyance and irritation from his eyes that easily. Eunhyuk widened his eyes in surprise, as he raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, wondering what had made Donghae so…angry. Eunhyuk tilted his head slightly, trying to coax Donghae out of his bad mood.

"Don't give me that face." Donghae muttered into his blanket, as he turned away from Eunhyuk to bury his face into the covers.

"What? What face?"

"That face. The one where you put on when you are trying to beg me or ask me for a favour." Donghae grumbled, kicking his feet and shifting his body so he faced Eunhyuk.

Eunhyuk sighed, as he placed a hand on Donghae's shoulder, wondering what had made him so temperamental today. He stopped doing whatever Donghae thought he was doing with his facial expression, adopting one more of concern. "What's wrong?" He enquired, picking up and flipping through the magazine that Donghae had carelessly thrown on the floor earlier.

"Him, him and him!" Donghae answered cryptically.

"Him….is that some codeword for aliens or something? Or some new word in your dictionary which I haven't picked up yet?" Eunhyuk teased slightly, leaving the magazine open at a certain page on his lap, as he gazed back at Donghae.

Donghae stared at Eunhyuk, before raising a palm to Eunhyuk's forehead, measuring his body temperature. Eunhyuk widened his eyes, before slapping the hand away. Donghae sighed, as he sat upright again, leaning against the wall for support.

"I was reading my magazine in the kitchen, minding my own business, enjoying this wonderful, beautiful afternoon with some intellectual article in my hands, when this couple came into the kitchen and disturbed me." Donghae groused, pulling the earphones out and staring at Eunhyuk.

"Let me guess, Heechul and Hankyung?" Eunhyuk grinned, earning a mock punch on his shoulder.

"Who else? Heechul practically wrapped himself around Hankyung, with his arms on Hankyung's waist always, quietly complaining and murmuring how hungry he was, as he demanded a plate of fried rice immediately. Hearing the tone he uses, to whine, and then suddenly to command, I feel weird." Donghae stated, shivering.

Eunhyuk grinned even wider, showing off his trademark gummy smile. "You dared to go against Heeechul-hyung?" He asked.

Donghae rolled his eyes before replying. "Of course not! So I picked up my beverage, and went straight to the living room to continue reading. I did give them a slight glare when I walked out. Hankyung detected it, but Heechul was too busy fussing over Hankyung to even notice my presence in the room." Donghae threw the blanket away from him, curling his legs up to tuck them under his chin. He stared at the pair of socks he was wearing, and he suddenly noticed that he was wearing someone else's socks.

"And then?" Eunhyuk prompted, wondering how this matter escalated to provoke such a huge reaction from Donghae.

"And then there was the famous Kangteuk couple in the living room watching television together. They were practically snuggling, as Kangin just grabbed the remote control, flipping through the channels mindlessly. I was fine with it, because I was absorbed in my read, until Eeteuk started whining how Kangin always flipped through the channels, even when others wanted to watch one television programme. Kangin then looked down at Eeteuk in his arms, before hugging him tighter and apologizing. Kangin, apologizing! They just don't go together! And then they started whispering sweet-nothings to each other. Gah!" Donghae complained, as he recalled that scene.

Eunhyuk couldn't help but give a little snort. It seemed that Donghae had stumbled onto a pretty mushy scene, as the Kangteuk couple was pretty famous for their antics and fanservice. He couldn't imagine how they managed to do it, nearly kissing in front of the fans for all to see. He glanced at Donghae, who stared forlornly at his socks, fingering the leg of his trousers.

"And so I left my beverage there, it was too sweet for me to consume further. The Kangteuk scene just gave me a sugar overload and I couldn't bear it, so I escaped to the balcony, tucking myself into the small swing there, hoping to get some peace all to myself. And guess what?" Donghae groaned, wondering at his spate of bad luck. Seriously, he seemed to be attracting all these stuff!

"I know. Kyumin!" Eunhyuk exclaimed happily, as he snapped his fingers, proud of his deduction skills. Kyuhyun and Sungmin were always stuck together, at any point of time. And their favourite place in the dorm? The balcony, where it was light and free, and the only place which Eeteuk actually allowed Sungmin to paint it pink. Till today, Eunhyuk could not believe that Eeteuk had agreed to such a request. How would the fans respond when they see Super Junior with a pink balcony? He made a mental note to himself. Prevent cameraman who is coming to film our dorm, from filming the balcony. Or else…..I don't know where to hide.

Donghae nodded, grimacing. "I don't need to tell you the details. Wait, perhaps I should tell you my response. I was sitting there without even knowing that they were there, until soft whisperings just floated from some random corner in the room! And the tone they used….." Donghae shivered, and he was not faking it.

Eunhyuk nodded sympathetically. The Kyumin couple….is much, much worse than the Kangteuk couple. Although Kyuhyun seemed so mature, and Sungmin seemed so manly, they are totally different when they are alone. Eunhyuk silently prayed that he wouldn't stumble onto them when they are alone, or else…..he might get a nightmare that night.

"Even the toilet…" Donghae mumbled to himself, turning his head to look at Eunhyuk, while pouting slightly. Eunhyuk tried his best to stop himself from smiling at the sight in front of him, as Donghae looked like a 5 year old child whining to him. He choked slightly on his laughter, before biting down on his lips and motioning for Donghae to continue.

"I even thought of going to the toilet! But when I reached the corridor, the Yewook couple was standing directly outside the toilet, and they were playing with each other's fingers! As if I'm totally absent, a ghost, an invisible being, as they just totally ignored me and went on with their uhm….battle of the fingers." Donghae threw his hands into the air, before they land on his knees, making a flat smack sound. "What is the world coming to these days!" Donghae sighed, staring right back at Eunhyuk.

Eunhyuk shrugged his shoulders slightly as he tried to control his laughter that was threatening to burst forth. He lowered his gaze to his feet, before frowning slightly. Dismissing the thought, he focused back on the current topic. Yewook could be….considered a weird couple. Anyone with Yesung definitely makes a weird couple, Yesung has enough weird factor to make up for the total lack in Ryeowook.

Staring back at Donghae, Eunhyuk grinned. "So that was what that was bothering you, making our Hae so angry all this while?" He teased, slapping Donghae slightly on the shoulder. "Are you…jealous?" Eunhyuk grinned wider, as he jumped up lightly from the bed to escape that punch that was coming towards him.

Donghae pouted at his best friend, trying to act like it was nothing, but he couldn't help suppress that feeling that was bubbling in him. He was jealous, he had to admit. The person who he thought he liked….didn't really seem to have any feelings for him though. He glanced up at the figure that was jumping around the room, seemingly very satisfied with his attempt at teasing Donghae. Frowning slightly, he swung his legs onto the floor, staring at the pair of socks on his feet. And then at Eunhyuk's feet. And then back at his own feet.

"Eunhyuk…." He spoke slowly, as the other man stopped whatever he was doing to stare at the person who was still frowning at the floor. "Why am I wearing your socks?" Donghae asked, making a face as he raised his head.

Eunhyuk froze, looking down at his own feet. He had felt weird just now, when he stared at the pair of socks on his feet. He grinned sheepishly, trying to cover his socks with feet futilely, as the socks proudly proclaimed their existence. "Well…."

"And why are you wearing my socks?" Donghae asked again, the frown still etched into his forehead.

"I thought you would notice it this way…." Eunhyuk blurted out, before slapping a palm over his own mouth, aghast at what he had just said. He blushed furiously behind his fingers, as he looked down at the socks he was wearing. Eunhyuk shifted uncomfortably, feeling like a moron as Donghae continued to stare at him.

"I….I'm leaving." Eunhyuk uttered, running towards the door. He unknowingly banged his foot into a pile of books that was lying innocently beside the door, and he crumpled onto the floor, holding his foot in pain, clutching it tightly. Donghae bit down on his lip to prevent himself from laughing at the comical scene. He snorted, and tried to hide it, but to no avail. Smiling gently, he walked over to Eunhyuk, pulling him up into a seating position onto the bed, as he pulled the pair of socks off and inspected the toe.

"I think it's bleeding…." Donghae stated gravely, as he continued his inspection like a very curious child.

"Bleeding!!!!" Eunhyuk widened his eyes, as he stared at Donghae. Scrambling quickly, he pulled his feet in to get a better look. He frowned, as his feet looked perfectly normal to him. Grumbling slightly, he lifted his head to find Donghae right beside him. Stunned at the sudden proximity, he gulped nervously, before shifting away slightly to put some distance in between them. Eunhyuk stood up and fumbled with the doorknob, only to be pulled back down by Donghae.

"Wha…t are you doing!" Eunhyuk asked in a strangled voice, staring at the guy beside him.

"I was jealous….I admit." Donghae stated airily. "But there's no reason for me to be jealous now….right?" He stared back into Eunhyuk's eyes, puffing his cheeks up slightly. Eunhyuk felt the blush creeping up his face again, as he met Donghae's gaze.

"Uhmm…"

"Are you that stunned by me that you can't even form a proper response now?" Donghae teased.

"No! I'm just…" Eunhyuk defended himself, only to be cut off when Donghae snuggled into his side.

"There's Eunhae at least…right?" Donghae closed his eyes tightly, not wanting to see how Eunhyuk's response. He snuggled even further into Eunhyuk's side, enjoying the warmth the other was emitting.

Eunhyuk stared at the person next to him. "Maybe." He answered simply, as he wrapped his arms around the child-like figure next to him, still blushing furiously.

Donghae glanced up cheekily and hit Eunhyuk on his arm. "What do you mean by maybe!"

"I thought you hated all this mushy stuff….and that was what that put you in such a bad mood right? So maybe…there's eunhae. But I can't really see it now." Eunhyuk stated, staring up at the ceiling as he fought to keep that grin off his face, adopting a solemn expression.

"Hey! You are going to regret what you just said!" Donghae shouted, as he picked up a random pillow next to him.

Eunhyuk grinned widely as he pushed Donghae away. "There's no way I'm going to lose this pillow fight! Take that!" He exclaimed, as he wrestled for the pillow.

Eeteuk stood outside the room, staring at the fighting scene inside the room.

"I can't stand mushy scenes like this." He grumbled, as he trooped back into the living room.
