Summary:
In the future, genetically-modified food is common, and designer babies are one of the latest fad in the modern world. Science has attained one of the highest peaks ever, and everyone is content, to the point of being blissfully oblivious. When something goes awry with a batch of test tubes babies, or specifically one, scientists are unable to explain it, and instead, hides the anomaly under the carpet, handing the baby over to his proud parents when the time comes.
What happens when he grows up, and realizes he is not what everybody thinks he is?
What happens when he has to hide something that is within him, intrinsically him?
One, who is trying to find his exact position in society.
One, who finds love, but his gift complicates things, a lot.
One, who tries to find balance, to only realize there is none?
You shake your head at me,
And I see it, the disbelief in your eyes.
Coincidence, you firmly put it as
All those accidents, everything, you bite down on your lips.
It's hard to accept this, I recognize
But I can't pretend in front of you anymore
Not when I look right into your eyes,
And see you disappointed, in agony,
When something inexplicable happens,
And you are left confused, standing alone.
I would trade away my gift,
To reveal myself to you, everything in my heart
The words that are clamoring to get out of me,
They are only meant for you.
Seeing you walk away,
Without the usual glint in your eyes,
Hurt crawls over my heart,
Consuming everything within me.
To have you torn away from me,
It pains me, for some reason
Striking deep within the core of my heart.
Having you just walk away
Just like that,
Seeing what we could have been,
It cripples me, and I find myself reaching for you.
And at the end, I huddle closer to myself,
Finding the warmth within me.
Now I'm alone, all by myself here,
Because I was a fool,
Not knowing that what I was trying to do,
Was to tell you I love you.
Is it too late?
To feel your fingers entwine around mine,
To feel your heartbeat under my palm,
To say it once, in front of you,
