I had a lovely birthday - had a lunch party with some of my friends from the antenatal group - Jon brought us an amazing chocolate gateau from London.  Presents seemed to follow a theme - oodles of fantastic cookbooks including the Fat Duck one which is brilliant - I don't know if I'll try any of the recipes, but just reading about how they were

cats do have remarkable powers of recovery - Fidget had a similar injury in the autumn and he was fine after a few days.
