Incredibly dark and raw this was. I'm glad I did not miss this one. Excellent writing.

Found you through the BF writer's showcase. I have to tell you, this is amazing! It reminds me of some of Charles de Lint's darker stories, and I can definitely tell you like Gabriel Garcia Marquez by your narrative style. This is a wonderful piece of magical realism :D Is this part of a larger series of stories? I would love to read more.

I think I may (maybe, and if I have time) do a series of short stories in this world. I tried to expand this into a Nano story and failed miserably, & a short story anthology would give me lots of fun places to take this, so I might try that.

I admit, I missed this the first time around; I'm glad you were showcased, else I might never have seen it. This was fantastic.

Excellent story!
Like the others, I'd love to read more about these characters. I really enjoy your detail, like the way his toe touches the porch through the hole in his shoe and the shadows of the house looming over the street.
A wonderful 3 minute piece of escapism.

I'm really starting to like the idea of writing more short stories in this universe/with these characters. I need a little while to figure out what I'm doing with this but after that, I think I may come back to this.
