omfg remind me never to write a story this close to the deadline.

She knows old Mister Olaf is dead because his ghost floats into the kitchen to tell her. )

Huzzah! I am glad you are enjoying it! I have this permanent worry that my friends-list will get fed up by the inundation of posts and be like, "STOP WRITING ALREADY" and then I'll have to go crawl in a dark hole and not come out for another twenty years.

Wow! That's all i have to say...just wow!
Ok and that I love the ghosts...the mom jogging in place in the corner. I could picture it all.
Genius!
I'd wish you good luck this week in the polls but you don't even need it.

: D Thank you! Yeah, writing the little side bits about the ghosts was definitely the most fun about this. And I don't know about luck, there are still a lot of amazing stories in the running this week!

I am now going to enter all rooms with the phrase, "I am Mister Olaf, and I! ... am dead."

That was awesome. I like the slow slide from glib could-be-a-bunch of different genres into utter quiet screaming terror. The only criticisms are one or two points of description repetition and the odd sentence fragment, which isn't an issue in and of itself, except that all your sentences are clippy, so it stands out.

Thanks! Yeah, the story definitely needs some work — I hate posting things unedited but I didn't really have time before the deadline. I hope to clean it up as soon as possible but thanks for the feedback!
