I've never had a birthday party either. If you figure out how it works, you should let people know! Or write a pamphlet about it, or something!

You haven't had one either? Oh thanks goodness, I thought that Pascal and I were the only ones...

We could figure it out together, and then write a pamphlet. I've never written a pamphlet before.

I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be cake. That sounds fairly important.

I've heard that. But what kind of cake? And how much cake?

You need to have a cake! That's the most important thing. I mean, besides inviting all your friends.

Oh, I know how to make cake! I can do that!

And of course I'm going to invite all my friends. I...actually have a lot of friends here. It's sort of weird to think of me having more than one or two friends, but there it is.

And you're supposed to put candles on it.

I'm glad you have a lot of friends now. I mean, just having a few really good friends is the important thing, but it's always nice to have more.

I think all my friends are important. I want to be close to all of them, but I know that's hard. I've learned so much since I got here!

Candles? Why?

Well, it's a day about you, so I think you should do whatever you wanna do. There aren't really any rules. Or at least, there shouldn't be.

But are there guidelines or general things you do no matter who's party it is?

I'm sorry, I've never done this before...

I dunno. Some people might say there's guidelines or whatever, but the way I see it you should just do what makes you happy.

I like the way you think. Thanks, Neil!

Are you going to come to my birthday party? Once I figure out what to do, I mean.
