*grin* Thanks. I just thought there was a hell of a jump between the end of the battle and the epilogue, and I so wish they had kept the scene between him and Tosh in!
wonderful story. Such raw emotions. Poor Ianto. And also poor Jack for not kowing how to set everything right.
I know the later parts of the "love and war" series (which are already posted *g*) and love them too. I think this is a great Arc.
One question though, does "A shattered Mirror still reflects" belong to that series? It would fit pretty well (in my humble opinion) but you havn't mentioned it in the "love and war" list
I'm glad that you like it. It's a fun sandpit to be playing in.

No, 'Shattered Mirror' was written while I was still finding Ianto's 'voice' as it were, so I'd classify it as a standalone one-shot that closely parallels this universe. Ianto's a little more assertive and bloody-minded in these stories, as I hope you'll see once the shock of Lisa's death wears off.
But you are right (of course you are as it's your stories *g*)
I re-read "A shattered Mirror" yesterday (before I read your comment) and yes the facts in the story are the same as in this universe (Iantos Sister, the suicideattemt and so on) but Ianto is far more trapped in his fears and dread.
So it really won't suite with the other parts of Love and War. Maybe I had this feeling because I read "A shattered Mirror" before "Once more with feeling" and the others...
Nevertheless all stories are beautiful and I love them
*furious blushing* Thanks! I just found the jump between the death scene and then the epilogue very jarring, so this story was written to appease that niggle.
(This might seem strange but, do you read The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher? I don't no why but when I read your stories they make me think of The Dresden Files...strangeness over, lol)
I've seen this referred to in other chapters - Jack saving Ianto from drowning after Lisa's death - so I was very much interested in seeing it. This is a very painful story - Jack's determination that Ianto live is almost scary. They have a long way to go.
