Can we send this to BBC and say, "hey, looking for a clear look into what drives Jack Harkness? Here- read this."

Thank you! I really felt for Jack, abandoned and trying to do the right thing for an ungrateful Time Lord. No wonder he has abandomnent issues!

this is gorgeously painful. I love Jack's pov in this and the very real emotions he feels.

It's a miracle that Jack isn't ten times more screwed up than he is. The Doctor is damned lucky that Jack is the forgiving sort because I would have seriously damaged the stupid sod.

*g* I think a lot of people feel that way about the Doctor. Between his treatment of Jack and Martha and his sobbing over the Master, he's damned lucky his companions still love him and want to travel with him.

I used to adore the Doctor but now it's soured. He uses people until they can't take any more and then he accuses them of abandoning him and breaking his heart.

It's you!
I love this this is perhaps my favorite part: For the first time Jack’s beginning to hope that the Doctor won’t come just yet. And that is something that terrifies him more than anything else.

Makes me go all awwww Jack.

How have you been? Drop me a line when you get five.

Yes, I'm still alive... sort of. I don't have much internet access these days and my damn computer is broke but I will try and get you an email ASAP.
