Everyone’s talking in soft voices, as if they think it makes a difference, but they might as well be shouting, screaming in his face, because they’re all saying the same thing anyway; Your sister’s dead.

HSM is like my crack fic. I only ever read it from good author and you KILLED SHARPAY. The most realistic impression of Sharpay that I liked and you KILLED HER.
Now that the outrage is over, I like this. I really do and damn it, I forgot how you invoke emotion so well.

Being serious, I really did enjoy it. You defined the teenage last year, just the.. indecisiveness and the worry--its usually NOT a case of "strange city, strange house" etc, but rather they are worried about the friendships growing apart. The comment about the codependency to interdependence between Chad and Ryan is perhaps the best explanation of it as that is what happens.
Hell, even if you are in the same city, you find yourself drifting!
The funeral scene really hit me--you handled that very very well.

I think a lot of being a teenager is having these friendships that are practically codependent, because your friends are your family, and HSM shows that in a way I find really easy to work with.
Because I love angst, there had to be something bad, and I love Sharpay but since I saw the first film I wanted to write a fic where she died. This fic, my Big Bang fail (I was having major issues - am still having actually - with the ending, so I didn't get it done in time) is nothing like I thought it would be, but I actually really like it. I am amazed that it's something I wrote. I am actually genuinely proud of it, and that never happens.
I love you for reading this and commenting on it <3 You're one of my favourite people on LJ <3
