Ooooooooooh: As the Cylon poised the tip of the glass, still coated with its own blood to Lee’s neck, he smiled sickly at Kara and said, “Kill Apollo and Starbuck will fall,” he said triumphantly, before jabbing Lee in the throat. Kill Lee and you kill me, too! Very realistic nightmare.
I really love the Admiral playing dirty to get Kara to 'fess up: “Kara, I’ll let Lee out of the brig early,” he threatened, the slightest twinkle to his eye. Despite it, she knew he was serious. “And I’ll overrule Cottle’s order and tell Lee that the only place he needs to be for the next week or so is right here, at your bedside.”
And what a pleasant surprise, Kara wanting to tell Lee more than Papadama: “I’ll tell Lee,” she said, ignoring the surprised look on his face. “But give me a little time, please. I want to at least feel a little more like myself than I do right now.”I hope Lee takes it like a man and doesn't overreact, freak out, and mess things up more than they already are. But I know they're piloooooots after all. I'm just hoping
( ... )
In this instance, considering the nature of everything that happened to Kara on Caprica, it would be easier for her to tell Lee. You'll just have to see how Lee reacts ... I'm glad you liked the Admiral's scene with Kara. My favorite part was his response to her "you don't know what you're asking." "I'm asking the woman I consider a daughter to trust me." To me, that's what finally convinced Kara to confess to someone.
I'm not sure who it would be harder to tell about Anders - Lee or the Admiral. I agree that telling "Dad" you hooked up with another guy while on the run (committing mutiny at that) would be tough, but considering how Kara and Lee left things in KLG II with the fisticuffs on the hangar deck, that seems pretty hard too. Especially since she lourrrrves our Lee! It's basically a no-win situation for Kara, so I guess it's good that Papadama backed her into a corner. I really can't wait for the next chapter!
PS - don't forget to add the "next chapter" link at the bottom of the Ch 4 sections - makes it a lot easier for reading (and re-reading, and more re-reading) in the future. :)
I promise to add in the links. Well, don't forget that Kara also needs to confess about what happened at the Farm. She may be obsessing over what Lee will do about Anders, but a lot of her problems so far have been related to her injuries, which she sustained at the hands of the Cylons. I think it'd be easier for her to tell Lee about that.
I like the way you've interpreted both Kara's going to Anders, and her hang-up with him. It all makes a lot of sense, in Kara-think, as it were. Another great chapter.
Hee! I figured that sentence about hit the nail on the head! Glad you liked it.
And yeah, after giving it far too much thought, I've always figured that one of the main reasons Kara was "susceptible" to Anders was because she knew Lee wasn't an option anymore (or at least, she thought she knew). She wanted to be with Lee, but after the fight in the hangar bay, she figured it just wouldn't be possible. But once she came back and he greeted her so warmly, her resolve (and devotion) to Anders, wavered.
Sorry to say, but there's more heartbreak acomin'. It is pilots after all. Thanks for the compliment - It's good to know my Master's degree didn't go to waste! :)
Your heart just hurts for her, doesn't it? Especially because, knowing her so well, she'd really think all those horrible things she imagines happening will. No one is harder on Kara, than Kara. Thanks reading and responding.
She does.. she imagines the worst, thinks the worst of herself, fears the absolute worst.
I think that is one of the reasons I immediately identified with Kara, I always have those conversations in my head where I "figure out" what everyone else is going to say and I so totally freak myself out that I often won't have the conversation and deal with it all myself. *iz stupid that way*
I think it's one of your burdens to bear as women. We always assume the worst of ourselves and the absolute best of others. We're rarely, if ever, fair to ourselves. Don't worry - I'm right there with you. :)

Given his past behavior, wouldn't you be scared to tell him too? I think I would! Thanks for reading.
