Yes, yes it did.

Love Lee running in and then stopping dead until Kara nods that it's okay for him to help her. It's so perfectly them. Right on the edge, then neither really knows what to do. It was nice to see them not run from it this time.

...it did fuel his very male ego just a bit that she had trusted him that much.

Yep, I like to believe that Lee has no illusions of having no male ego, just a better sense of when it's inappropriate to give it reign than some other men have.

And I adore Kara's sweet little kiss and thank you at the end of it all. She's so in love! And she's too out of it to fight herself about it.

It's a beautiful chapter, really. Well done.

I'm so glad you posted this! And it was written exactly right - Lee very sweet and devoted (and keeping himself in check) and Kara just not having the energy to keep up the bravado. Well done.

All together now: awww. Dare I say it? An attentive Lee is even more sexier than a naked Lee. (Oh wait we was near naked too, a two for one fantasy!)

Might we finally delay the inevitable pilots-purposely-misconstruing the other? I hope so for their sakes!

I agree that attentive!Lee runs a really close second with naked!Lee in regards to sex appeal. But pilots not misconstruing each other ... I don't know, this is AU, but it's not necessarily fantasy fic! LOL Thanks for reading and commenting.

Another shade of Lee! I love this one too. I loved the shower scene from Jei's fic and I love this one. You know it has nothing to do with sex and everything to do with love. You can just feel the love radiating from Lee as he tenderly takes care of Kara. I LOVE IT!!!!

P.S. You are totally spoiling me with these back to back updates. Not complaining though.:)

I'm really glad you liked this, especially since you're familiar with Jei's fic and therefore know what I was trying to emulate. The back to back updates are going to slow down a bit as I have to do some serious revising of the end of this fic. Hang tight though, it's coming!

I got exactly what you were trying to convey. I mean if a guy can love you like the way Lee loves Kara which is proven beyond a doubt by how he takes care of her, what else does one really need in life?

No worries about the updates. You know what they say, patience is virtue.:)

This was just awesome! I paused for a moment at Lee's thought about Kara's vulnerability (I took it wrong for a split second) then re-read it and went .. ahhhh, yes.. I totally get that now!

great of Kara to let herself be vulnerable and let Lee help her and great of Lee to realize how big of a step that is for her and to handle it with such tenderness and care for her dignity.

I'm glad that the vulnerability comment made sense. I meant it in a good way! And I'm very glad you liked this. In fact, I'm really glad that everyone seems to be liking this. I was a little worried about how it would be received.
