Mishie-cat would chase a ball if I threw it for her. Sophie-cat would lie decorously on the carpet until I rolled a ball past her, at which point she would biff it and send it far into the corner of the room, and I would chase it for her. And bring it back, and roll again, and rinse and repeat. She had me playing fetch, damn it...
I've had several over the years that play a gave of throw where they bring it back less and less close each time, and just yell at you louder and louder until you get up and throw the toy again.
I love playful cats, even though they mess with productivity. There is one in my lap at the moment, interfering with my laptop. If I didn't already have a very delicate social balance between my two (and a lease prohibition), I would take them in a heartbeat.
Minnow too is very talented at playing "Throw." She likes to do it from the top of her six-foot-tall cat tree.
I get the feeling Red and Scuse are only now getting to be proper kittens, despite being grown cats. There's a certain amount of 'must explore everything with my mouth' that I'm used to seeing in little kittens going on with them. They're very sweet together. They also nibble on everything I have in my hands, including my hands.
