Oh, why haven't I read these books yet? They've been on my list since I was like 12. Love this essay, though - it definitely makes me want to get to them before the next movie comes out, at least.

So interesting about Moriarty! I definitely assumed he turned up over and over and over again.

EEEEP! I haven't spoiled anything for you have I? I didn't really talk of plot or anything, so maybe not? Plus, I hipped you to the fact that all those things you are expecting ie: Moriarty being like important and whatnot, aren't as relevant as you might have otherwise thought.
