I think that when people don't listen to the Don Quixote's for long enough things build up until you get a revolution.

A Dream Deferred
by Langston Hughes

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?

I memorized that poem in seventh grade. Not for a class. I'm not even sure how I found it. Except that I practically lived in the library until I was 14.

Everytime someone brings this poem up, I get this strange deja vu-like feeling. Like I should really pay attention. Like someone from somewhere or somewhen is trying to tell me something.

Anyway good poem.
