Last year at this time, picture book author and friend Boni Ashburn posted a list of the picture books she was looking forward to in 2011.

This year, I decided to do the same for the first half of 2012. Oh, people. It's going to be an amazing year for picture books! These are just a few of the ones that I am anticipating:
