That is AWFUL! While this isn't your landlord's fault, aren't they responsible for providing you with a working fridge? Even if they have to go and pick it up themselves? Or buy one from a different store? I'd be raising holy hell by now!
I'm sorry you're dealing with this crap. I hope they get it together tomorrow. I also agree with the suggestion to demand compensation for the inconvenience.
We've been trying to get our freezer fixed for three. months. Thank god we're lucky enough to have a fridge/freezer in the basement that we have been able to use.
We're supposed to be getting an entire new fridge tomorrow. About fucking time.
OK, I am not sure what the laws are by you but I am a landlord and that shit would not fly here. As a rule, we try and remedy any situation beit repairs, etc within 24 hours. Any appliances we supply(and we do not supply fridges to everyone) we would replace within 3 days if not sooner...or risk being in some trouble. ESPECIALLY with kids, I would think the Super/landlord would be liable here. If one store can't remedy the situation they should have found another. 10 days is COMPLETELY unacceptable, with or without kids!
