I watched Paranormal Activity last night. Maybe it's just because we're atheists who don't believe in ghosts, but neither Frolic nor I found it at all scary. We were laughing through most of it, and the phrase Demon rape would make this movie way better! kept coming up. Oh well. It was pretty blah, but wasn't so awful that I felt like I resented ( Read more... )

I love ghost stories and I do believe in ghosts, so I'm quite keen to see Paranormal Activity.

Despite being a no-ghost atheist, I do love ghost stories as well. I liked The Sixth Sense, and even really liked The Others (and that one was, IIRC, hated by a lot of people for being "too slow" and not action-y enough). But as for Paranormal Activity, try to lower your expectations for it. I loved Blair Witch Project, but this was no BWP. It was kind of like "BWP lite, in a house, with people they haven't particularly made us care about." I'd been looking forward to it because I'd heard it was scary, but yeah, I should have spent the time rewatching The Devil's Rejects. ;)

I've heard more good than bad about Paranormal Activity, so I'll just go into it expecting good scary fun. :)

Off to see Sherlock Holmes in a bit.

Why didn't I ever think of asking you about good henti titles, or maybe stories one could find online? *LOL* *hhehehe* What little i downloaded off the net years ago is on some random burned cd... somewhere... haven't seen for years. I needs tentacles!

But that wasn't what my original comment was just that popped into my head after reading the comments here. *LOL* There is a game i picked up boxing day cheapy that's really cute and easy called The Munchables! You would get a kick out of watching it and I think Gavin would enjoy playing it. I'll have to bring it over sometime so we can play it and you see, i think you will laugh more then a few times. I'm probably going to try and find another copy for Bill's daughter, santa got her a wii this year. *chuckles*

HAPPY NEW DECADE!!! *hugs*
