Christmas wrap-up

Christmas Eve I made some PJ pants for Moo (black satin with a spiders-and-spiderwebs print) after being inspired by birthingway's Xmas-Eve-PJs tradition. Then we made Butterscotch-Gingerbread Cookies and the Eggnog Cheesecake (recipe link here, along with an ETA at the bottom that says how I change the recipe). We got Moo off to bed and then we watched Read more... )

I'm disappointed because this was to be my first time modeling since before Connor's pregnancy and I was really looking forward to it; also, it was to be a night out with friends and without the baby, which is a very rare occurrence. :(

Couldn't you still have the evening out part by going to the event anyway, even if you're not modelling?

BTW, which designer is it that's pulling out?

Sidonie. I gather she had to go into the hospital although I think she's home now. :(

I could still go out but I don't really have an excuse now to stay out at long as I'd have had to stay out before.

EEK! Oh no! She's a good friend. I hope she's OK - do you know what happened?

I was planning on going tomorrow to see her. Though maybe I should still go because it's a good cause and worth supporting, but it will be weird not to have her there...

Er, I'm not sure where I got the hospital thing from. o_O This is the message we were sent:
This is Crispen writing on behalf of Sidonie. For those who don’t know me, I am Sidonie’s husband and partner in To Die For Designs. As Most of you know, Sidonie has been fighting what we believed to be a bad flu-bug. I am writing now to let you know that the situation is more severe than we thought. We have sought out medical attention and are working on addressing the situation. At this time she has been prescribed a strategy including strict bed rest, to combat her illness. Sadly this does mean that we will be forced to cancel our portion of the December 26th Savage garden fashion show.
We will provide updates as they become available.
For those who know Sidonie personally, you know that she is constantly doing 50 million things, and never slows down. The next few weeks she will most likely be going stir crazy, so if you see her online please do not hesitate to distract her as I will have to be at work.

The first real scene (with the pencil), as soon as it happened I said out loud, "I get it." LOL, I totally got it. ;) Although my favorite was probably when he was in the nurse uniform (especially when he was outside, poking randomly at the controller and looking baffled).

What about you? :)

Does this mean you won't be at Savage tonight? Cause I was gonna go just to see you and ravensee.

Nah, I'll still go. :) What time were you planning on getting there?
