Might I add that good ol' Abe Lincoln was an inexperienced Republican Senator. What I learned from this race is that inexperienced Democrats are "people who will need too much on-the-job training and make mistakes in office," and inexperienced Republicans are "charming, folksy candidates that represent the little people and will change Washington." Heh.
