Misanthropic me, or I hate people so of course I live in the city

People who ride the T at rush hour? Are stupid. There. I've said it. They are profoundly, deeply, mentally crippled. How they manage to remember to breathe astounds me ( Read more... )

mbta, people are stupid

That looks like the Seoul subway line. Almost.

I walk to Circus Circus and back every day at lunch (approx. 1 1/2 mi. round trip) . . . Some people do enjoy walking.

I have that same map, BTW. :-)

I always used to wonder why folks always took the T when walking wasn't all that hard or far. When I was a kid in Youth Theatre I used to take the T into the city to Emerson College from East Somerville but I'd walk home at the end of the day about half the time. It wasn't a quick walk but it wasnt' even a vaguely difficult walk and was nice except for the exhaust fumes.
Most people are fat lazy apes, those crowds were standiing at Park Place back in the 1970's and will be there in the 2070's.

YES, thank you!

Apart from the fact that I hate waiting for one train, let alone two, and I can't see why you'd wait for the red line to take you to the other line of your choice. But waiting for your train longer than it takes to go to the station you actually want to go to in the first place? I'm sorry, you're the weakest link, goodbye.

Unless its badly icy, I walk at least from Havard to Porter every day. I live closer to Porter, but I hate it...so much that I'd rather walk to Harvard to avoid it.

Well....
Unless they came off the Silver Line (which, some of them had suitcases, it's possible. But that's the only thing you'd transfer from; Commuter Rail people have to pay again or they have a combo pass...

But as far as I could tell, they were just coming in, getting on the train (in some cases fighting for a seat!) and getting off at Downtown Crossing (about half of them). Then, a bunch more got off at Park...about half the train (1/4 having gone 2 stops, 1/4 having only gone one (connected) stop ( ... )

I was thinking of you today as I took the orange line from New England Medical Center to Downtown Crossing, then Downtown Crossing to Park Street. Because for some reason, I was thinking I needed to get off at Park Street. I actually got off on both the outer platform and the inner platform trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, I was so disoriented.

... maybe that reason was that I was shaking badly from the breathing treatment I just had, and I'm feeling a bit wretched. Whatev.

I just find it amusing though that I'm all yucky, and I'm in a "fuckit, I'm taking the train" frame of mind yet I'm sitting there thinking about becoming one of the mindless suburban cow masses based on a post of yours.

(:
