This is the last entry of the season, and for me, likely the last post for a while.

It's an odd feeling, you know? An ending that's not really an ending, just a pause until the next season

I loved this take on the topic and how really, all four of you have won in your own ways. :) This entry reminds me of the exact reasons I started Idol in the first place, and why I'm glad I didn't make it past 7th place, in some ways. <3

I've been a little slack on reading the past few weeks--but I refreshed my flist and this was at the top... and it's such a good reminder of why I have been a fan of your writing--and why I like and respect you as a person.

This entry really spoke to me. I feel the same way you do about writing -- if it's coming from your heart, the genre shouldn't matter. Fiction can be every bit as honest and personal as nonfiction -- it's just not immediately obvious to everyone who happens to read it.

And you're right. It isn't about winning. It took me all the way to juuuuust before the finals (when I half quit and half got eliminated) to remember that in season 8. It was about the journey, and getting to play at all was a gift. I didn't know I could write, and now I do.

I liked how it didn't get ugly at the end this time. Y'all are all such great writers and, at least the ones of you I know, awesome people. That includes you. <3

It would be awesome to see everyone tie. You're already all winners.
