Update Re: Hurricane

I was right: alcohol is essential to hurricane survival. We lost power at about 2pm and are still out (I'm mooching wifi at McDonald's). Trees are down everywhere and the basement is flooding; we spent a few hours hauling buckets of water upstairs before giving up

We lost power a few weeks ago due to a storm. It was beyond annoying, but thankfully it wasn't hot out and there were plenty of coffee shops in the area to recharge and use wifi. My kid though was convinced it was the worst thing that ever happened ever. To anyone.

I hope you get power back soon and the flooding isn't too bad! What a thing to come home to ;)

Hope you made it through the hurricane unscathed, if not a little wet from the flooding.

I think it's good that you took the tech job, in this economy lord knows we can't be too extremely picky! It'll be good though, experience and money. At least you're not working retail *points to self* and stuck volunteering at two different places to try and get some experience time in.

Glad to have you back around the internet again! We'll have to catch up soon :)
