 Baby tropicbirds are adorable beyond all reason. Extremely sweet faces. I wanted to hug and squish them but they weren't keen on that so instead I marked their nest sites on GPS so the Bahamas National Trust could track them. Baby parrots are adorable too but in a different way because they're still at the practically-embryonic-looking stage, but ( Read more... )

**flails** Turtles! They're sooooo awesome. I'll be wishing that they hatch on your watch, mkay?

Box turtles are on the move in my 'hood. I had to dodge three of them on the way to work this morning.

Ohmigoodness, the pictures you must have! Don't forget to share when you get back. :)

I'm delighted you got to do this trip. Yeay!

I'm glad you're getting along well with everyone! And baby turtles! (SQUEE!!!!!)

Don't know if it'll help much hearing this, but I have a friend starting as faculty, and he doesn't start until October. How much longer do you have there?

Turtles = GOOD

Anxiety producing thoughts = BAD

Don't you wish that life was really THAT simple? Still, it's a good idea to focus on the positives and try not to dwell on the negatives that you can't change anyway.

Keep your chin up, kiddo... it'll all work out however it is supposed to, just like your amazing summer in the Bahamas. I soooo envy you - beautiful scenery, nice people, awesome foods and TERRIFIC 'libations.' Plus the added benefit of seeing all those SQUEE-ful baby birds!! Enjoy the rest of your time there and share pics when you get back, 'k?
:D
