So I caved and went out and bought a small space heater for the night. Hopefully tomorrow the landlord's office will be open and they will get my messages and come put the stupid heat on. Of course, I'm going home tomorrow, but I don't want to return to burst pipes and frozen fishtanks. The serpent folk are looking alright so far! She wasn't too ( Read more... )

Awwww! A snake? How cool! You should post some pics of her, I would love to see what she looks like :)

I would have caved and bought a heater too; me and cold don't really get along.

*snicker* It's Snake(s) on a Train XD lol!

Come to think of it, I ought to update her photos--she's grown a lot since her baby pictures! Snakes on a train. XD *snort* My professor actually gave me tips on how to smuggle snakes through public transportation--the secret is pillow cases, lol.

Yay space heater! Before we got replacement windows in our drafty old house I had one that I would carry from room to room with me in the winter. I REALLY hate being cold.

I hope your snake does okay! Good luck with the hassle of landlords, trains (with or without a snake), travel in general.

Jeez! Here's hoping your heat comes back on soon! If you travel with her, hide her on your person in a mesh bag and don't tell you have her. They may not let you take her otherwise. Or they could make you put her in some goofy travel compartment where she may not fare well. Have a safe trip and a happy holiday!
